Located, as its name suggests, in Big Spring, Texas, this stunning State Park will leave you speechless. Not only is it free admission, but it also offers a myriad of activities to take on. Some of the available activities at Big Spring include hiking, biking, nature watching, or just taking a scenic drive to enjoy the views.

8) Padre Island National Seashore 

If camping is more your style, look into Padre Island. Located off the coast of South Texas and not to be confused with South Padre Island, this beautiful seashore will leave you dreaming of it for days to come. Padre Island offers a long beach where nature is preserved, and you can camp on a first come first served basis in any of the five camping areas.

9) Garner State Park 

Swim and go tubing on the Frio river or take a relaxing hike on the 1,774 acres of scenic terrain that this park has to offer. No matter what you feel like doing, Garner park has something for everyone. Have a picnic or hike to the scenic overlook. 10) Inks Lake State Park

Located in Burnet County, Texas, Inks Lake is another great spot for campers. It offers swimming, boating, water-skiing, and you can also rent kayaks and paddleboards on site. If water sports are not your thing, head to any of the 200 campsites and relax around nature. You can also take a hike or backpack across the several miles of trails the park has to offer.
